Family Portrait

"A world class artist"

"Elizabeth is a world class artist who is very humble and approachable.

She is very hard working and worked very well with our family to deliver a wonderful family collage. She met our family more than 5 times to ensure our collage made everyone involved and happy.

Elizabeth is a superstar and her art was astonishing."

"Brilliant Artist"

When you commission an artwork that will go on to become a family heirloom you set high expectations. I wanted something original that not only reflected our home but also the beautiful village we live in.

Elizabeth created a stunning depiction that exceeded my expectations. She is a breath of fresh air and her attention to detail is outstanding. I would highly recommend her.

"amazing artist"

"Elizabeth is an incredibly talented artist with highly original collages and an eye for meaningful and beautiful pieces of art. Her passion for her work is obvious from the first time you meet her and is infectious.

I am delighted by the piece I bought and really appreciate her time to explain the inspiration behind it."

"Original and Inspiring artwork commission"

"2020 and 2021 have been hard for everyone, no more so than for artists and performers. With great losses in our lives I wanted an artwork as a keepsake that would capture and create memories of this challenging time, but something quirky and creative.

I commissioned Elizabeth with the brief of designing something memorable but fun and was blown away by the wall sculpture she has created called “Homage to Caroline’. Never in my wildest dreams had I imagined such an original and inspiring piece."

ELIZABETH BESSANT - GENIUS!

Elizabeth is a remarkable artist. She has a depth of creativity that I feel few today can match.

Elizabeth’s work has always been sublime there are no peaks or troughs, just genius! Her ornithological drawings from earlier in her career recall the 18th century artists like George Edwards whereas her interiors recall Raoul Duffy. How eclectic is that?! Her spectrum of influence is vast and she is able to distill this onto the canvas.

More recently Elizabeth has begun to explore Pop art via the medium of collage. Her collages recall the fashion photography of the1980s providing us with a compelling satire. Providing us with works that are both fascinating and amusing. If we were at the opera we’d be clapping and shouting “brava”.

I am over the moon that she agreed to make my portrait as like Oscar Wilde … Elizabeth has nothing to declare except her genius.
